Our main dining room, affectionately named “Dick’s Diner” by residents, offers long term patients a comfortable dining environment. Dick’s Diner is not only a place to eat meals, it also serves as a social environment for patients. We also have a second dining room, the Bistro, located in our Rehab Unit, serving the same home-style meals to Short Term Rehab patients. The Bistro, which has a very warm and intimate environment, serves as not only a dining room, but also a place for patients to socialize.
Our patients can expect not only the utmost service, but also a sincere effort to accommodate their menu preferences. We recognize that embracing patient choices and desires for food they enjoy, while keeping focused on meeting nutritional needs, is an important way to support the healing goals of all who reside at Schnepp. We also understand the role of good food in keeping the soul satisfied, even with an occasional choice that may not be the best dietary option – moderation in life is crucial!
Our menus rotate throughout the year and feature delicious seasonal choices. Menu choices are tailored with advice from the Food Committee at Schnepp. In addition, we take the time to customize our services to meet our guests’ individual nutritional needs and goals.
